Summary
We worked with the National Ice Skating Association to review the current NISA Child protection policy and procedures making them relevant to the broad range of disciplines in Ice Skating and latest good practice from the Child Protection in Sport Unit (CPSU).
Approach
The current documentation was reviewed and new procedures were developed to coincide with the nature of the sport and the need to include vulnerable adults.
Outcome
The new documentation was accepted by the child welfare steering group and assisted NISA achieving the appropriate standard in child protection.
