We work in partnership with Tchoukball UK to support the coordination of the Level 1 Award in Coaching Tchoukball.

Course description

The objective of the Touchkball Level 1 Coaching Award is to equip learners with the basic individual skills, techniques and rules of the game and that the sessions they deliver are enjoyable and safe. 

Who is the course for?

This course is ideal for:

  • Trainee teachers
  • Qualified teachers
  • Coaches
  • Those wanting to assist coaching in Tchoukball clubs
  • People who want to learn more about Tchoukball

What’s the value of this course?

This course could lead to paid or voluntary roles in coaching the sport of tchoukball in a variety of settings.

Learner eligibility

Learners must:

  • Be at least 16 years of age
  • Be appropriately identified
  • Be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing)

Assessment

Learners will be assessed continually through the course.

Format / duration

The course duration is 3 hours plus the set up/down time and is 100% practical. 

Progression opportunities

The skills and knowledge developed through this course may also be used enable learners to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications in coaching other sports, supporting PE in school sport and sports development.

What facilities do I need to deliver a course?

The venue must include:

  • An appropriate space for practical activities, conducive to learning. A sports hall (ideally 4 court).
  • Toilet facilities are required
  • Access to a theory space

How many learners do I need to run a course?

You will need a minimum of 15 and maximum of 20 learners.

What is the price per learner?

The price per learner is £45.

What are the fees for hosting a course?

The cost for hosting a course is  per person. Fees include tutor fees, mileage*, administration and course resources.

*Up to a 130 mile round trip. Travel beyond this is subject to additional cost where a tutor is able to travel the extra distance.

How can I organise a course?

If you would like to explore the possibility of delivering a course at a convenient time and format to suit your learners, please complete the registration of interest form below. It is recommended that at least 3 weeks notice is provided prior to any requested course start date.
