Course description

The Teaching Children Korfball course is an introductory course designed for  aspiring and current teachers with little or no experience of Korfball working in both primary and secondary school environments.

Who is the course for?

The course is for qualified teachers, teaching assistants or those on a PGCE pathway.

What’s the value of this course?

By the end of the course, learners will have:

  • An understanding of how to teach the basic individual skills in Korfball
  • A knowledge of the basic rules of the game
  • Plenty of ideas for adapted games

Learner eligibility

Learners must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be appropriately identified
  • Be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing
  • Learners must be qualified teachers, teaching assistants or be on a PGCE pathway.

Assessment (if applicable)

Learners will be assessed continually through the course.

Format / duration

The course lasts 3 hours and is 100% practical. 

Progression opportunities

The skills and knowledge developed through this course may also be used enable learners to progress to other industry-relevant qualifications in coaching other sports, supporting PE in school sport and sports development. Learners may wish to explore other Korfball coaching courses.
