On Monday 4th November 2019, Sport Structures completed the Activity Alliance Lead self-assessment day. The day itself comprised of team members self-reflecting and evaluating how inclusive we are around 9 key themes: Leadership, strategy, community engagement, resource management, partnership working, people management, service development, marketing, delivery and performance measurement.
There were lots of really engaging and insightful conversations throughout the day all of which lead to a clear action plan for how we are going to tackle key areas to make us more inclusive. Not only that but it allowed us to reflect positively on what we have already achieved and how benchmarked against other organisations we’re heading in the right direction to ensure disabled people are a key consideration across the board.
We are looking forward to embedding the actions into our overall business plan and driving inclusivity forward, not just internally but within our contracted work also.
