In conjunction with the London Basketball Association, we have supported the organisation and delivery of the 1st4Sport Level 3 Certificate in Coaching Basketball.
The course, which was fully subscribed has seen learners explore technical, tactical, physical and psychological skills along with phased planning with macro, meso and micro planning. The course covers a wide range of topics such as attacking and defending skills, game coaching and organisation and much more.
Many of the coaches will be using this experience to coach on the Basketball England Aspire Programme. This sits at the base of the model and is for 11 to 15-year-old basketball players originally selected through the National Scouting, Talent Identification & Tracking Programme from a talent pool of 20,000 boys & girls in clubs & schools nationwide.
