Summary:
Sport Structures were contracted to develop and deliver an equity workshop to the professional staff and the Board to raise awareness and identify barriers to taking part in sport.
Approach:
Twelve members of the Baseball/Softball UK professional staff team and Board took part in a three hour workshop to identify the key barriers faced in developing sport in the UK and the services it provides. The workshop was a tailored workshop from the successful Making Sports Organisations Equitable.
Outcome:
Baseball/Softball UK evaluated the workshop which demonstrated that the sport was taking an equitable approach and also was able to identify the barriers that people face playing the sport.
