Summary

Working in conjunction with sportscotland, we delivered a 6 hour Introduction to Social Media workshop to National Governing Bodies and National Sports Organisations.

Approach

The workshop identified core outcomes and was very practical in nature, providing learners with the opportunity to ‘have a go’ at creating social media posts and exploring engagement techniques. The workshop also identified how organisations within the industry and outside of the sport sector, have successfully used social media as part of a wider communication strategy. Learners were able to leave with a clear action plan of how they would be using social media within their organisation in the future.

Outcome

75% of learners believe they met their own personal learning goals, with 25% stating this was partially met. Learners commented that the tutor was ‘Friendly, approachable and knowledgeable’. One learner stated that the ‘training provide gave me the skills and confidence to use them in practice.’ Lastly, 80% of learners rated themselves as very confident or confident in applying the learning in their job role.
