Summary
To develop the second stage application for a Sports Hall on the Central Technology College site to be funded through the NOF PE and Sport fund.
Approach
Sport Structures, in conjunction with a small management group, carried out community consultation and surveying of all staff, students from the College and 5 other local schools. Sport Structures developed the aim and objectives along with sports development and business plans. This involved the redesigning of the PE development plan.
Following the consultation Sport Structures developed the scheme to include further facilities for fitness and sports science testing in conjunction with the clubs and physical education programme.
Outcome
The application was submitted on time and is receipt of in excess of £1 million with the facility being fully competed in early 2006.
