It starts small.
A kid who normally hangs back during PE volunteers to explain the rules of a warm-up game. Another, who’s usually glued to their phone at break time, starts asking questions about how to run a sports session. And then, suddenly, you're watching them set up a game, give instructions, encourage a nervous teammate – and you realise: This is it. This is leadership being born. Leadership isn’t loud. Sometimes, it’s a whisper.
It’s not just a course – it’s a starting point
We’ve been lucky enough to run Multi-Skills Activator courses with some brilliant schools and youth providers lately – including a group of young people who first came through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme. They weren’t the loudest. Or the most confident. Some were reluctant. Others were curious. But every single one of them left with something they didn’t walk in with: A sense that they could lead to.
This is the magic of the Multi-Skills Activator course. It’s not about churning out future PE teachers or elite athletes (though we love it when that happens, too). It’s about giving young people the tools to support others. To create fun, safe, inclusive spaces where everyone can join in.
Because we all know, good sports leaders make sports feel better.
It’s not just a course – it’s a starting point.
Our school sports offer
We’ve built a school sport offer that combines Level 2 and Level 3 PESSPA qualifications, Multi-Skills Activator workshops, and a growing suite of 90-minute CPD sessions that tackle the real stuff:
-
What makes sport inclusive?
-
How do we engage everyone, not just the sporty kids?
-
How do we help young leaders find their voice?
It’s not a one-size-fits-all model. It’s flexible, practical, and rooted in the belief that leadership starts early – and it starts by being invited in.
So, what’s your school or youth group doing to grow the next generation of leaders?
Whether you’re working with Year 6s ready for a new challenge, teens on the edge of disengagement, or just a brilliant group of pupils who want to help others have fun, this is your moment.
You don’t need a fancy sports hall or 50 cones. You need a willingness to say: “Come on then, give it a go.” And we’ll back you with the training, the resources, and the know-how to make it work.

Drop us a message at [email protected]. Let’s have a chat about how we can work together to build a school sports culture where everyone can find their place, as players, participants, and, yes, as leaders too.
Because the first step to leading others is being given a chance, let’s be the ones who open that door!
