On Thursday 21st March our Business Manager Ross Szabo attended the Black Country Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) Annual Conference 2019. The conference was held at The Hawthorns, West Bromwich Albion Football Club's ground. The Black Country LEP aims to create the conditions for enterprise to flourish resulting in greater economic prosperity across the Black Country area.
This event allowed the LEP to report updates on the Annual Economic Review and give an overview of work the LEP has done over the past year. Further topics on energy, Brexit, health, employment and skills as well as the Commonwealth games 2022 were discussed along with an open forum question and answer session. The Black Country LEP is continuing to improve across a number of areas on their performance management framework and it's great to see how what we're doing locally through education and training is feeding into the wider community.
