These pages have been provided to support your learning prior to, during and after the course. We have also included some additional resources to support your coaching.
Course outline
The Level 3 course will be delivered alongside the Leeds Redstar and Worcester Wolves Valencia Basketball Camps this year. Learners will have access to the Basketball England e-Learning platform to complete a series of modules along with the 1st4Sport portfolio tasks.
Course completion
Learners will be required to complete all aspects of the portfolio in order to achieve the qualification. The course is made up of theory and practical tasks. These are described on the tabs at the bottom of this page.
Assessment
Assessor fees are included along with expenses of a Course fees 50-mile round trip on both assessment occasions (task 10 and 13). If the assessor is required to travel further, additional mileage fees will need to be covered by you at a fee of 40p per mile. Prior to requesting to be assessed, please ensure you have completed the relevant portfolio tasks (detailed on the Qualification Details Page). You can request assessments to be arranged through emailing us at [email protected]. Please attempt to give a minimum of 1 months’ notice.

E-Platform

Pre-course home study
Please aim to complete the following tasks before the course:
• Identify three players who you coach for your coaching practice
• Complete the profiling exercise as explained on the pre-course information tab below
• Review the recommended reading and videos and animations
Reasonable adjustments
If you have a disability, health condition or specific learning need, please inform us as soon as possible so we can modify the delivery of the course to maximise your learning experience.
Registration Period
Please be aware that your registration period is valid for 3 years from the start date of your course. It is recommended that you complete the course in this period. If for unseen circumstances, you need to apply for an extension, you must contact us at least 1 month prior to your registration expiry date.
What if I cannot attend?
Please refer to the terms and conditions of booking if you wish to withdraw or are unable to attend.
Feedback
This is a new delivery format for the basketball level 3 qualification. We would really value your feedback so Basketball England can continue to improve the service they provide to their coaching workforce. It will be a requirement for certification to complete our short feedback survey.
In addition, if all debts have been paid and attendance / competence has been confirmed, we will process certification electronically for you. Please note, you may incur a charge for replacement certificates to be sent.
