Welcome to Basketball England Level 2 Award in Coaching Basketball
These pages have been provided to support your learning during the course.
Course Format
The course is delivered through a blended approach of virtual and face to face delivery. Learners will have access to the Basketball England e-Learning platform to complete a series of learning tasks. Please see the image below for further information.
Basketball England E-Platform
You will receive an email with instructions on how to access the Basketball England e-Learning platform. If you have not received this email 5 days prior to the first day of the course, please check your junk folder. If you have any problems logging in, please contact [email protected].
You will use the e-Learning platform to complete the following tasks:
- Upload your pre-requisite evidence
- Module 1: Introductory webinar (this needs to be watched prior to attending the first classroom session)
- Module 2: Sports science (this needs to be completed after third virtual classroom session)
- Module 3: Team analysis task (completed after the face to face practical session facilitated by a course tutor)
- Module 4: Assessment questions (completed after the face to face practical session facilitated by a course tutor.
Technical Challenges
We recognise when conducting virtual sessions, technology can sometimes go wrong. We encourage you to re-join the virtual classroom session as soon as you can. Please be aware that if you are 15 minutes late for the virtual classroom, the tutor has the right to refuse your attendance.
If you experience a technical issue and are unable to re-join, please email [email protected] and the course tutor and you will be able to re-join another virtual classroom session in the future.
What should I bring with me to the practical sessions?
We recommend that you:
- Wear appropriate clothing suitable for basketball participation
- Bring a notebook and pen to take notes or a laptop/iPad
- Bring suitable refreshments (e.g. drink, snack).
Pre-Requisites
As per the pre-course email, you have been asked to provide evidence of your Basketball England level 1 qualification along with details of your level 2 club coach. Failure to provide required evidence may result in certification not being released.
Reasonable adjustments
If you have a disability, health condition or specific learning need, please inform us as soon as possible so we can modify the delivery of the course to maximise your learning experience.
Registration Period
Please be aware that your registration period is valid for 2 years from the start date of your course. It is recommended that you complete the course in this period. If for unseen circumstances, you need to apply for an extension, you must contact us at least 1 month prior to your registration expiry date.
What if I cannot attend?
Please refer to the terms and conditions of booking if you wish to withdraw or are unable to attend.
Feedback
This is a new delivery format for the basketball level 2 award. We would really value your feedback so Basketball England can continue to improve the service they provide to their coaching workforce. It will be a requirement for certification to complete our short feedback survey.
In addition, if all debts have been paid and attendance / competence has been confirmed, we will process certification electronically for you. Please note, you may incur a charge for replacement certificates to be sent.
