Welcome to the 1st4Sport Level 2 Certificate in Coaching Korfball.
Course format
This course is delivered through a blended approach of virtual and face to face delivery. The image below illustrates the standard course format but this is subject to change:
Please be aware that all elements of the course must be completed to be eligible for certification.
Pre Course Checklist
In order to access the virtual classroom sessions, please refer to the virtual classroom page for guidance.
For the practical session, we recommend that you:
- Wear appropriate clothing suitable for korfball participation
- Bring a notebook and pen to take notes or a laptop/iPad
- Bring suitable refreshments (e.g. drink, snack)
Pre-Requisites
To confirm, in order to attend this course, learners are required to:
- Be 17 years of age or above (must be 18 years of age to coach independently)
- Hold an England Korfball Level 1 Coaching Award or recognised equivalent.
- be accurately identified
- be able to communicate effectively in English (this includes listening, speaking, reading and writing)
Reasonable adjustments
If you have a disability, health condition or specific learning need such as dyslexia, please inform us as soon as possible so we can modify the delivery of the course to maximise your learning experience.

Registration Period
Please be aware that your registration period is valid for 2 years from the start date of your course. It is recommended that you complete the course in this period. If for unseen circumstances, you need to apply for an extension, you must contact us at least 1 month prior to your registration expiry date
Course day queries
Please note our office hours are Monday to Thursday 9-5pm and Friday 8.30-4.30pm. If you have any difficulty finding the venue or if you are running late, please contact the venue.
What if I cannot attend?
Please refer to the terms and conditions if you wish to withdraw or are unable to attend.
Feedback
We will certify you with 1st4Sport who will dispatch your certificate to the address you identified when you booked onto the course. This usually takes 4/6 weeks to arrive. Certification will not be processed if:
- Your record of achievement has not been submitted (and you have yet to complete all tasks)
- There are any outstanding course fees
- We have not received evidence of required pre-requisites (i.e. holding a relevant qualification)
- You have not completed the feedback survey
We strongly encourage you to notify us if you change address prior to certification being processed. This will avoid you having to pay a fee of £25 for a replacement certificate.
