Active Partnership Network

Changing culture, not just compliance: safer sport for all.

We are working with the Active Partnership Network to create a new Welfare Culture Tool that helps Sport Welfare Officers and clubs reflect on their practices and improve how they support safe environments.

Through extensive consultation with clubs, staff, and the SWO network, we have designed a practical resource that goes beyond compliance to focus on changing culture and behaviour. The tool enables clubs to better understand their approach to welfare, identify strengths and gaps, and make improvements that protect both young people and staff.

This work is already driving significant cultural change. Clubs are building stronger awareness of safeguarding, developing safer practices, and creating more positive, inclusive environments for everyone involved in sport.
