The Award is a great starting point for individuals who want to gain a recognised qualification while focusing on a specific area of leadership. You’ll choose at least one module (minimum 5 credits) that aligns with your professional development needs.

On Registration, you will be asked to select two modules totalling at least 13 credits. Assignment requirements are noted below;

Progression opportunities
Learners who successfully complete their qualification can continue their development through the CMI Level 3 Qualifications in Principles of Management and Leadership. This may include:
- Progressing from an Award to a Certificate by completing additional modules
- Obtaining an apprenticeship in management and leadership
- Achieving Foundation Chartered Manager (FCMgr) status upon completion of the full Level 3 qualification in First Line Management and Leadership (subject to maintaining CMI membership)

Learners may also choose to advance their personal and professional growth by exploring higher-level qualifications, such as the CMI Level 5 Qualifications in Management and Leadership, with the goal of becoming a Chartered Manager.
