Assessor Criteria
Due to the assessment requirements for this qualification, learners need to be observed assessing in their own environment. Learners are welcome to source their own assessors (that meet the assessor criteria below). Alternatively, we can support in sourcing an appropriately qualified assessor. If the latter option is chosen, a fee will apply. Please contact us for further information.
Assessor Criteria
Assessors are required to:
- hold the Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement or previous recognised equivalent
- have relevant assessing experience for other regulated qualifications
- have up-to-date working knowledge and experience of best practice in assessment and quality assurance
- show current evidence of CPD in assessment and quality assurance
This must be evidenced to Sport Structures by:
- CVs which contain information to support occupational competence
- An assessor qualification certificate. Accepted assessing qualifications include: Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement; A1 Assess candidate performance using a range of methods and A2 + familiar with current assessing NOS/standards; D32 Assess candidate performance and D33 Assess candidate using differing sources of evidence + familiar with current assessing NOS/standards
It is important that assessors are orientated by Sport Structures prior to any assessments going ahead.
