Last year we supported British Shooting in developing and writing their Sport England core market funding submission. We were delighted that the funding submission was a success with a 4% increase in funding. We were asked for further support in preparation for the 4-year cycle and in particular with their commercial strategy.
Our Senior Business Development Manager for Sport Business established a framework for the commercial development of British Shooting assets as part of the funding submission. Subsequently Rebecca has had continual dialogue with the National Development Manager and recently spend a day with the Engagement Team to help shape the commercial strategy and implementation plan. This involved guiding the team through a process of considering the audience, market segmentation and route to market as well as product development through a marketing mix approach.
The work so far has aided British Shooting to sharpen their thinking, provided focus for the delivery officer and create a plan of action. There was an outcome achieved around the personal and professional development of the key member of staff responsible for commercially developing British Shooting events. We will continue to support in reviewing their implementation plan.
