Our partnership with the Norwich City Sports Foundation is based on the provision of apprenticeships, and development of an overall training provision. The agreement sees the development of the tutor workforce and delivery of a range of courses to develop the workforce.
Approach
We undertook a workforce assessment of the staff (see training needs analysis case study) and supported the delivery of training for 35 apprentices over a two year period.
In that time we up-skilled the workforce through tutor training (see tutor training case study) and provided a range of courses including Multi-skills and Games for Understanding. These courses were run by ourselves and including orientation of tutors into delivery of the programme.
Outcome
The Foundation is one of the largest in the country, now as a result of our partnership it is able to provide many of its coaches education training and in particular over time has began to develop their staff so that they can deliver courses under our recognised centre status.
