Equality Standard for Sport
The Equality Standard for Sport is a framework for widening access and increasing the participation and involvement in sport and physical activity from under-represented individuals, groups and communities, especially women and girls, ethnic minority groups and disabled people. It will assist sports organisations in developing equality-proofed policies, structures and processes and will allow for performance to be assessed, ensuring continuous improvement in equality.
The Standard has four levels of achievement; Foundation, Preliminary, Intermediate and Advanced.
We can assist you in the compilation of information, the development and recording of specific evidence under the new process for assessment and through delivering equity training using our expertise and knowledge to tailor training to suit the needs of your staff and/or volunteers.
We have provided support with the development of portfolios for Sport England regions, National Governing Bodies and County Sport Partnerships. In addition to this we have been contracted to provide enhanced portfolio support to:
- England Squash
- Amateur Rowing Association
- England Lacrosse
- England and Wales Cricket Board
- England Netball
- Grand National Archery Society
- Volleyball England
- Amateur Boxing Association of England
- West of England Sport Trust
- Birmingham Sport and Physical Activity Partnership
